ForgeCrew — Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and BuildForgeHQ ("BuildForgeHQ", "we", "us", or "our") governing your use of the ForgeCrew application and related services (the "Services"). By creating an account or using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction over any dispute, without affecting any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have where you live.
1. What ForgeCrew is
ForgeCrew helps you organise crews, manage availability, plan activities, import schedules by scanning rotas/posters/PDFs, and discover events. Some features require an account and an internet connection to sync across devices.
2. Eligibility and accounts
- You must be at least 13 years old to use the Services.
- Provide accurate sign-in details and keep your account secure. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account.
- You are responsible for keeping your invite codes private and for who you admit to your crews. Crew owners may remove members, transfer leadership, or disband a crew, which permanently deletes the crew and its data for all members.
3. Your content
- You may add tasks, availability, crew details, scans, photos, event notes, and crew messages ("Your Content"). You keep ownership of Your Content.
- You grant us a limited licence to store and process Your Content solely to provide the Services to you and your crews.
- Only upload content you have the right to share. Do not upload anything unlawful, infringing, or that you are not permitted to use (for example, a rota containing other people's information you have no right to share).
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Services to harass, threaten, abuse, or harm others, or to post hateful or illegal content;
- plan or facilitate anything illegal through the app;
- attempt to break, overload, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorised access to the Services or other users' data;
- misuse invite codes or impersonate others.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms. Anything illegal planned through the app is a breach of these Terms and may be reported where the law requires.
5. Events and third-party listings — disclaimer of liability
This section is important. Please read it carefully.
- We are a discovery and planning tool, not an event organiser. Event listings shown in ForgeCrew (including in "Suggested" and crew suggestions) are supplied by third-party providers such as Ticketmaster, Skiddle, and Eventbrite. We surface this information for convenience only.
- No endorsement or verification. BuildForgeHQ does not organise, host, run, endorse, recommend, or vet any event, venue, or organiser. We do not verify and do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, availability, pricing, timing, age-restrictions, safety, legality, or quality of any event or listing. Listings may be out of date, incorrect, changed, or cancelled by the provider at any time.
- Transactions are with the provider, not us. Any ticket purchase, booking, registration, or payment is made directly between you and the relevant event provider or ticket seller, under that third party's own terms and privacy policy. We are not a party to those transactions, handle no ticket payments, and have no control over refunds, entry, or cancellations.
- Attendance is at your own risk. Your decision to attend, travel to, or interact with any event, venue, organiser, or other attendee is made entirely at your own discretion and risk. You are responsible for your own safety and conduct.
- No liability for events. To the fullest extent permitted by law, BuildForgeHQ is not liable for any loss, injury, cost, disappointment, or damage arising from or connected to any event, listing, organiser, venue, ticket seller, or other attendee — including event cancellation or changes, inaccurate listings, refused entry, lost ticket money, or anything that happens before, during, or after an event. Any dispute about an event is between you and the event provider.
6. Coordination between users
ForgeCrew helps you and your crew share availability and agree plans, but we are not responsible for arrangements you make with other people, including whether anyone turns up, the accuracy of availability others publish, or the conduct of other members. Use your own judgement when planning and sharing information with others.
7. Third-party services and availability
- Features that depend on third parties — event listings and cloud-assisted scanning — may change, be limited, or be unavailable, and are provided "as is".
- We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Services at any time. We aim to keep the Services running but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
8. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that scan extraction, availability matching, or event suggestions will be accurate or complete — always double-check important dates and details yourself.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- BuildForgeHQ will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Services.
- Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded — for example, liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud. Your statutory consumer rights are not affected.
10. Termination
You may stop using the Services and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these Terms or to protect the Services or other users. On account deletion, your cloud data is removed as described in the Privacy Policy.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
